Romans 15:13

13 Now the God of hope fill you 

with all joy and peace in believing, 

that ye may abound in hope, 

through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Have you ever done what this born again watchman normally does?

I watch how many people use their smartphones each day.

As they walk, talk, eat, rest, work, or commute.

At least a third are hooked on their phones.

It's even become a game for me.

When a person walks slowly in the middle of the sidewalk, or an overpass, I tell myself most likely they're looking at their phones.

True enough, I'm right.

In my city, there was once a ban against people doing that.

They were asked to please go to the side of the street, or not look at their phones as they cross the street, or walk up and down the stairs.

Wishful thinking that.

The policy didn't last very long.

Eyes are perpetually glued to their smartphones.

Young people's ears are normally plugged with their headsets.

They wouldn't want to miss out on events, or their friends.

And yes, even school work.

Some have large tablets for school, apart from the usual laptops.

And I think to myself, are kids getting "dumbed" out of creative thinking?

Have they relied so much on tech?

Are they losing out on the essentials of life?

Like, interacting with real people face-to-face?

Now, it's screen to screen.

Seems artificial, but according to others, necessary.

Especially if their folks are abroad, or elsewhere.

Thank GOD, there seems to be a counter-movement going on, too.

Unless they're addicted users themselves.

But I did "see" an electronic "armageddon".

I was "shown" that over 20 years ago, too.

SPIRIT helps me "see".

Because I'm His faithful student.

Thank GOD, my brain's wired differently.

As people go high tech, I purposely go low tech.

I'm not slave to machines.

I serve GOD alone.

GIFTS young people can BRING

 

1 Timothy 4:12

King James Version

12 Let no man despise thy youth; 

but be thou an example of the believers, 

in word, in conversation, in charity, 

in spirit, in faith, in purity.

What gifts can young people bring?

How can you make life better for others?

What spirit lives in you?

Life is not about feeding off each other.

Life is about love, peace, joy, truth, understanding.

Life is best lived, when you give of yourself.

According to the WILL of GOD.

That's how you can also avoid vultures.

And those who wish evil upon the young.

Live, according to GOD's will.

And He shall protect you always.

Psalm 144:15

15 Happy is that people, 

that is in such a case: 

yea, happy is that people, 

whose God is the Lord.

How to live a truly purposeful life?

A worthwhile one acceptable to GOD?

A fulfilling life you can be content with?

Be SPIRIT-driven.

Be born again.

Be of GOD.

Here's how you know if you are:

You do not live for self.

You are not vain.

You are not greedy.

You are not cruel.

You are not self-absorbed.

You desire to help others.

You wish to be of service to others.

You want to help, according to GOD's will.

You want to live, according to GOD's plan.

You live by Scripture.

You are all that, if you're born again.

For GOD's SPIRIT lives in you.

He teaches you, all you need to be.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

19 What? 

know ye not that your body 

is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, 

which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20 For ye are bought with a price: 

therefore glorify God in your body, 

and in your spirit, 

which are God's.

The young have youth.

You have spirit.

You have drive.

You have creativity.

You have imagination.

You have energy.

You have fire.

You have strength.

Those are your gifts.

Now, the question is, who does it serve?

Matthew 6:24

for either he will hate the one, and love the other;

Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Ephesians 2:2

2 Wherein in time past ye walked 

according to the course of this world, 

according to the prince of the power of the air, 

the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

We laugh.

We joke.

We think they're cool.

Many like zombie films.

Not knowing it's close to the truth.

Why are the young obsessed with zombie films?

We are all zombies.

All living dead.

UNLESS, and UNTIL, we are saved.

Wherein we believe in JESUS.

We come to life.

For these reasons:

Romans 8:5-8

King James Version

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind 

the things of the flesh; 

but they that are after the Spirit 

the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death; 

but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: 

for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Romans 8:13

13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: 

but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body,

We are zombies, because of sin.

We need to be born again, that GOD's SPIRIT may be in us.

Romans 8:10

the body is dead because of sin; 

but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

John 3:3-7

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, 

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, 

Except a man be born again,

How can a man be born when he is old? 

can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, 

and be born?

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Ye must be born again.

A born again becomes a new creature in CHRIST.

2 Corinthians 5:17

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, 

he is a new creature: 

old things are passed away; 

behold, all things are become new.

Believers will have a new, glorified body.

Right now, we are in flesh.

But one day, we will have a spiritual body.

When we are resurrected by CHRIST.

JESUS was raised from the dead.

Believers will experience that, too.

and with what body do they come?

that which thou sowest is not quickened,

GOD is a LIVING GOD.

We, in the flesh, are dead from sin.

We need JESUS, that we may live.

And have ETERNAL LIFE.
