Psalm 144:12

12 That our sons may be as plants
grown up in their youth;
that our daughters may be as corner stones,
polished after the similitude of a palace:
The youth are refreshing.
Most every person goes through that youth stage.
Wherein our faces beamed with excitement, and expectation.
Where school could be fun, filled with friends, and play.
Where learning was something to look forward to.
Except these days, this born again watchman/workman only sees young eyes glued to their phones.
This as I commute most every day.
Thus, it was refreshing to see a young girl holding a "scepter".
Somehow the HOLY SPIRIT directed my eyes to the orange globe atop it.
Katrina was not busy looking at her phone.
In that cramped commute space, she held on to her bag, and plastic scepter.
Being naturally curious, I asked her about it.
For a "sci-fi" play, or project, at school, she says.
Further piqued with curiosity, I asked what she was taking up.
"Psychology".
That got my brain going.
Relishing the idea they must have a cool teacher, for such a cool course.
And an even cooler project to further expand their brain.
What does a sci-fi project have to do with Psychology, you might wonder.
Well, the latter deals with the mind, and behavior.
The former deals with something out of this world, out of the box thinking.
Sky's the limit, then.
In this ey-ay, and highly digitalized word, it's definitely refreshing to know you can still have real props.
Never mind if it's an orange-globed, plastic scepter, and a young girl holding it, too.
Sez who that toys are reserved for kids alone?
Others have their advanced cellphones.
Young Katrina had her orange scepter.
I almost expected the orange globe to light up.
Naturally, I asked it if did.
And she said, it does.
Now, she had me really tickled.
The objective of this post?
Never take away the child's heart.
Never take away props for "play".
Never take away fun, and creativity.
It's how we'll all survive in this chaotic world.
It's what will drive the enemy nuts.
That he can't curtail that child spirit.
Let it live mightily in us all.
The spirit that JESUS loves.
Matthew 18:1-7

Except ye be converted,

Katrina is wonderfully of Generation Z, but hardly "zzzzzz".
She's very much awake.
If the toy is any indication at all, perhaps, there's hope for Psychology, other sciences, and other professions.
Where people can have sound minds, through a love for GOD, and by honoring CHRIST.
Lastly we wish Katrina, her teacher, and her peers well.
