1 Samuel 16:7
King James Version
7 But the Lord said unto Samuel,
Look not on his countenance,
or on the height of his stature;
because I have refused him:
for the Lord seeth not as man seeth;
for man looketh on the outward appearance,
but the Lord looketh on the heart.
Are you giving your heart to the right person?
How do you know they are the right person?
How do you know you are?
Who's to help us figure it all out?
Can you trust your heart?
How trustworthy is your heart?
How trustworthy is the other person?
Love is given to family, friends, spouses, children, or someone you wish to share your life with.
Is there something missing from that equation?
Who did the world forget?
Or tried to scrap out?
The most important part of all, in fact.
The world does not want you to include GOD.
When He matters the most.
Blessed are those who grew up with Scripture.
For they were taught who to give their heart to.
Right from the start.
It can only be offered to JESUS.
Who loves you, enough to give up His life for you.
Colossians 1:14
King James Version
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood,
even the forgiveness of sins:
Our first love should be our Creator.
To be grateful for our life, our family, our friends.
For everything we have.
That's another missing part of the equation.
We don't thank GOD enough.
But what about those who don't know GOD?
Or those who don't care to know Him?
Who's to tell them?
How are they to know GOD?
Share this post, and they'll know.
Let our hearts be in the right place.
Unless we seek the LORD FIRST, we can't get things right in this world.
JESUS taught us about LOVE.
Mark 12:29-31
King James Version
29 And Jesus answered him,
The first of all the commandments is,
Hear, O Israel;
The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God
with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul,
and with all thy mind,
and with all thy strength:
this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this,
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
There is none other commandment greater than these.
JESUS added:
Matthew 22:40
King James Version
40 On these two commandments
hang all the law and the prophets.
How can we not love GOD?
How can we not be grateful for everything?
Without JESUS, we could do nothing.
John 15:5
King James Version
5 I am the vine,
ye are the branches:
He that abideth in me,
and I in him,
the same bringeth forth much fruit:
for without me ye can do nothing.
GOD desires we believe in His SON.
JESUS desires we love His FATHER.
GOD allowed His SON to die, that we may live.
John 3:16
King James Version
16 For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
The HOLY SPIRIT, the THIRD person in the TRIUNE GOD, teaches any born again that.
We have much to learn about love.
How about we start with this foundation:
1 John 4:7-10
King James Version
7 Beloved,
let us love one another:
for love is of God;
and every one that loveth is born of God,
and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God;
for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us,
because that God sent his only begotten Son
into the world,
that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love,
not that we loved God,
but that he loved us,
and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Giving your heart to JESUS doesn't mean you'll be a nun, or a priest.
Or that you'll never marry.
Giving your heart to the LORD means He will teach you HOW to love.
He'll lead you to the right person, for friendship, for marriage, for work.
Who greater teacher, than the LORD JESUS?
We're only able to love GOD, and others, because GOD loved us first.
1 John 4:19
King James Version
19 We love him,
because he first loved us.
